An applicant for a license who, knowingly provides false information in the application or in any further information submitted to the Regulator under this regulation, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction in a Parish Court, to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars.
A person who contravenes paragraph (5-1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction before a Parish Court to a fine not exceeding two million dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year. (Paragraph 5-1: A person shall not inspect or certify the electrical work of an electrician or supervise the work of a technical electrical assistant unless that person is licensed as an inspector under this regulation.)
Offence of Working Without a Licence or Registration
A person commits an offence if that person fraudulently represents himself to:
Be duly licensed, duly registered or duly enrolled, to perform any activity for which a license, registration, enrolment or other regulatory permission is required under the Regulations;
Have performed an activity for which he is duly licensed, duly registered, duly enrolled or permitted to perform under the Regulations for which he did not perform;
A person who commits any of the above two offences is liable on summary conviction before a Parish Court to a fine not exceeding five million dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.
