Simultaneous authorization is when a person is holding at least two authorizations at the same time. That is, licensed as an electrical inspector, registered as an electrician or enrolled as a technical electrical assistant.
Nothing in Part III of the Regulations shall preclude a person from holding simultaneous authorizations.
A person who is holding simultaneous authorizations
as an inspector and an electrician shall not inspect or certify that person's own electrical work or modification;
as an inspector and a technical electrical assistant shall not inspect an electrical work or modification where that person assisted with the electrical work or modification as a technical electrical assistant;
as an electrician and a technical electrical assistant shall not assist in the inspection or certification of any electrical work or modification that person undertook as a technical electrical assistant.
A person who contravenes the above commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction before a Parish Court a fine not exceeding five million dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.
