An applicant for a license who, knowingly provides false information in the application or in any further information submitted to the Regulator, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction in a Parish Court, to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars
A person who contravenes paragraph (5-1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction before a Parish Court to a fine not exceeding two million dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year. (Paragraph 5-1: A person shall not inspect or certify the electrical work of an electrician or supervise the work of a technical electrical assistant unless that person is licensed as an inspector under this regulation.)
Penalty for Inspector’s Breach
An inspector commits an offence if that inspector certifies as compliant any electrical work or modification
without conducting an inspection of that electrical work or modification;
or that is found to be in breach of the Specification existing at the time of the inspection.
An inspector who commits any of the above two offences is liable, on summary conviction before a Parish Court to a fine not exceeding two million dollars or to imprisonment not exceeding two years; and to have that inspector's license revoked by the Minister on recommendation of the Regulator in accordance with regulation 10 as:
an inspector and an electrician shall not inspect or certify that person's own electrical work or modification;
an inspector and a technical electrical assistant shall not inspect an electrical work or modification where that person assisted with the electrical work or modification as a technical electrical assistant;
an electrician and a technical electrical assistant shall not assist in the inspection or certification of any electrical work or modification that person undertook as a technical electrical assistant.
A person who contravenes the above commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction before a Parish Court a fine not exceeding five million dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.
