Class 2 License: Qualifications for Inspectors

A license granted under regulation 6 shall be valid for a period of three years, unless suspended, revoked, or surrendered, in accordance with these Regulations, and those terms shall be expressly stated on the face of the license.

​Being a license that permits a licensee to inspect and certify electrical work or modification to be energized at voltage levels less than 1 kV single phase or three phase and a maximum power of 500 kVA.

  • A Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from a recognized training institution approved by an accreditation body. 
  • At least seven years prior experience in electrical installation works of voltage level of up to 1kV.
  • Successful completion of the Electrical Inspector Licensing Examination - Class 2.
  • Practicing Fee - $20,000
